Office Sight – Office Furniture Blog
Your office is in desperate need of medical office furniture, but before you start thinking about desks and chairs for the lobby, you need to think about filing cabinets. It’s quite possibly one of the most essential items any doctor’s office can own, next to the patient bed of course. Just imagine how many patients you will accrue over the years as your practice grows and thrives. You’ll have hundred and hundreds of patients. If you’re a good doctor, the number will just continue to escalate and that means a lot more patient files.
You may not see a patient for years but you still need to have all their medical records on file in case he needs to come back. If you’re a general doctor, chances are the folders are going to get full pretty quickly. If you’re a specialist, not so much. Your office is going to need a lot of extra space to store all those files. Eventually those records might have to get moved to the dark and spooky basement because the patient is no longer here.
Stock up on plenty of those filing cabinets and expect to buy more in the future. You’ll want a cabinet that can last as long as your practice does, so make it your priority when purchasing medical office furniture.
