Executive Desk Chairs and Other Items to Spruce Up the Cubicle
Forty hours a week, about fifty weeks a year, all spent sitting in your little tiny cubicle. After awhile, you probably feel like the walls are caving in on you. Before you start to disassemble the cubicle, like in the scene from Office Space, there are plenty of ways to make your little space feel more relaxing. Start by switching out that uncomfortable chair. Get yourself comfy executive desk chairs. It’s certainly no Lafer recliner, but it’s a start.
Next bring in a few pictures. Don’t bring in ones of you drunk at the bar from last Friday night. Choose work appropriate photographs of your friends and family. It will be a nice distraction when you can’t look at your computer screen any longer. Add in a clever calendar like Word of the Day or 365 Days of Cats –whatever tickles your fancy. If you have room, purchase a small plant –real or fake, but fake is easier to care for. If you have a real plant, ensure that it doesn’t need too much light or maintenance.
As the holidays roll around and the seasons change, decorate accordingly. Snowflakes can adorn your desk during the winter and a mini pumpkin will look adorable during the fall. You spend a lot of time at work, so get comfortable!
