Let’s face it; chairs get dirty. From their hours of use to all the things we do in them; eat, drink, have chair races around the office. Cleaning your executive desk chairs is going to depend on what it’s made out of.
If you are cleaning a fabric chair, the first thing you want to do is check for the tag that tells you what the cleaning code is. If it has a W that means you can use a water based cleaning solution. If it has an S you need to use a solvent based solution. SW means you can use either.
When using upholstery cleaners, you’ll want to dampen the fabric first before spraying. You can then wipe it over with a damp rag. Afterwards, use dry towel to help get rid of some of the moisture and then let it air dry.
For leather executive desk chairs, a foam leather cleaner will get the job done quickly. With some warm water and a sponge, spread the foam cleaner along the chair. With some elbow grease, use the sponge to work it into the leather. When finished you can rinse it with warm water and let it air dry.
Lastly, you’ll want to clean your wheels to ensure you keep moving. Flip the chair upside down so the wheels are in the air and easier for you to see. Pull out any dust, hair, or other build up. Scissors work well if you can’t get it out by hand. You can then rinse them off with warm water and let them air dry.
