Lounge Sofas and the Waiting Room
You walk into a medical office and feel the eyes of all the weary patients turn to you. They sit in the lounge sofas and there’s something almost competitive floating in the air. The nurse comes out and calls a name. The winner of what seems to be a medical lottery stands, smiling, gathers his things, and moves along into a long corridor and into the next part of the visit.
It matters what kind of lounge sofas there are. If the medical office furniture is uncomfortable, everyone will aggressively turn the pages of their magazines. They will eye the other patients suspiciously. Better invest the first time and make the already tense atmosphere of the waiting room as pleasant as possible.
